Remove Win32/DownloadAdmin.G - How to Get Rid of Win32/DownloadAdmin.G Quickly and Easily

Have you heard of the newest virus to circulate around the internet? It's called the Win32/DownloadAdmin.G. It sounds awfully legitimate, and looks shiny and official. Unfortunately this programs is recognized as malware, and is from the same hackers who created the 'Internet Protection' virus. The program installs itself through the use of phony scanner pages and Trojans that are installed as Adobe Flash updates. Once installed, this ruthless program will start every time you boot up your system, and will tell you that your PC is fully infected. The hackers who programmed this virus are hoping that you click the 'Buy Full Version' to get rid of the list of infections that show up. If you do that, you're putting your credit card at risk, and ultimately, your personal identity at risk. You can't afford either, and so it's imperative that you remove Win32/DownloadAdmin.G and get your PC clean again. How do we do that? Let's discuss.

First off - If you're unsure whether or not you're infected, the clearest signals of infection are the various warning messages. These are plentiful, and here are a few examples of what they look like. They all have the name 'Win32/DownloadAdmin.G' in the name.

"External software tries to control variety of your system files. This may lead to breaking of some data in your system. Click here to protect remote access to your PC & delete these programs."

"Firewall Alert
Your computer is being attacked from a remote machine!
Block Internet access to your computer to prevent system infection.
Attacker IP:
Attack type: RCPT exploit"

or

"Firewall Alert
Warning
Keylogger activity detected!
Your account in social network is under attack. Click here to block unauthorized modification by removing threats (Recommended)"

These warnings are fake, and should be ignored. However - you must get rid of Win32/DownloadAdmin.G to put a stop to the slowing down and the fake scans of your PC. To do so, you will either have to use an automatic virus removal program, or you will have to edit your system manually to get rid of the files created by the virus.

Manual removal is an option that can be executed by professionals and advanced PC users. The average user should not attempt manual removal, because it includes making changes to your registry and other sensitive files. A mistake can result in further corruption of your PC and further headaches. However, if manual removal is your thing, then you'll need to locate the files in your HKey_Current_User folder associated with the virus. These are often randomly generated to attempt to trick and hide from your efforts.

Automatic removal is my recommended choice, basically because it's faster and easier, and will automatically sniff out the infected.dat,.ico,.tmp,.dll, and.exe files that are corrupting your PC. There are free and paid options available online. The free options can usually do the job, but if something goes wrong, the customer service is poor or nonexistant. That's why I normally choose a select few programs that not only get the job done, but offer support, and best of all, continued protection against the next virus like this one.
